Could It Be
Could it be… when the shadowed world falls through...
You will rise above like an unbound dove, and see the world anew;
And you wonder how it has held you down; your footing’s holding true...
Will this be the time for the best of you?
Though the world... has sought to break you down...
You’ve been growing strong bearing weight so long, released you scream aloud;
Now you’re walking tall with the wherewithal, the open doors abound;
In the dawning light will your time be now?
Could it be that the clouds have broken, glowing beams right through the darkness,
Could it be that the sun has woken, Summer light back to the Arctic.
You have dreamt in a night that’s frozen, for to reach beyond the harshness;
Could it be the time for... Will it be the time for the best of you...
For the best of you?
Have the wonders been this overcast so long?
You can see the best with a sight refreshed; the cloudiness has gone;
With the past beneath, the heights you reach, have never come before;
Time has come to leave the whole world in awe.
Could it be that the clouds have broken, glowing beams right through the darkness,
Could it be that the sun has woken, Summer light back to the Arctic.
You have dreamt in a night that’s frozen, for to reach beyond the harshness;
Could it be the time for... Will it be the time for the best of you…
Ah ah ah ah... A brilliant earth till now you’ve never seen...
Ah ah ah ah... Warmth and love will show what you can be...
Ah ah ah ah... You will see the sunshine, open eyes that were blind;
Strive yourself to live so brilliantly...
Don’t neglect, you weren’t the only one...
There are more to grow, somewhere down below, who’ve never seen the sun;
You will do the best, for the dispossessed, and give new life to some;
It’s your time to show that the world can love.
Could it be that the clouds have broken, glowing beams right through the darkness,
Could it be that the sun has woken, Summer light back to the Arctic.
You have dreamt in a night that’s frozen, for to reach beyond the harshness;
Could it be the time for... Will it be the time for the best of you...
For the best of you?
When It Died
When the light of the shadowed moon goes; ponder now how my life got torn so?
World is bleak in this claustrophobia; walls within cause it’s barren so far.
Huddled cold when it all falls through; there’s no light and no warmth I knew.
Fever now, can this pain be real? Lost my feet and I cannot deal...
And I cry...
Cause I won’t face the dark world outside;
And the colours fade out from my sight,
When it died...
You were here but now there’s no trace of - your warm eyes and your warm embrace, oh
Wrapped around in a loving evening; you were mine and my heart had something.
What a world I had entered to; trembled when you said I love you.
Buried deep in my memories; slipped away now I’m on my knees,
And I cry...
Cause I won’t face the dark world outside;
And the colours fade out from my sight,
When it died...
You go on in your former world now; I am strong but my sky has come down.
Weary days, struggle to the moonlight; then I wake in the morning...
And I cry...
Cause I won’t face the dark world outside;
And the colours fade out from my sight,
When it died...
I am cold... shiver in my sleep.
Feel so old... living through this grief.
And I wonder how I can deal with me?
Can’t control my shaking when I breathe.
Then I cry... oh I cry...
OH I CRY…
YOUR LOVE DIED…
And I cannot face all the clouded world outside.
'Cause the coloured light has faded from my sight.
And I cried... when it died.
Just Want Some Company
It’s been so long, trapped alone in these darkest days.
When he was gone, I couldn’t rise from my woeful ways.
A special time for the memories, but what we had, could never be.
Before the world falls through, could I be close to you?
Down on my own, I thought I’d lost what I need to breathe.
Can I be strong? Lost my path to where I’m meant to be.
Killing time in this empty room, hold myself in the nightly gloom,
Don’t want to feel so blue, could I be close to you?
‘Cause I feel so cold though I’m warm in bed; I’ve got an empty mould next to my head.
I want some company, I just want some company... tonight.
I just want some company... whoa yeah.
I hold my head, down on your chest, feel it rise and fall.
Please hold your arms, ‘round my body tight, don’t want to feel so small.
A loving touch with your tenderness, a little world... of happiness,
I feel my heart renewed, when I’m close to you.
We don’t have to go all the way this time; just want to hold you close, be by my side.
I want some company, I just want some company... tonight.
I just want some company... whoa yeah.
Lost in the ocean, uneasy motion; I was feeling low, hiding from my fear.
I’ve been unbroken, your love is certain. My pain will disappear just lying in your company…
Oh what a loving heart, I only need your company...
We’ll soothe our harm as we talk all night; lay under the stars, we’ll be alright.
I want some company, I just want some company... tonight.
I just want some company... oh yeah...
Dripping Down My Heart
In my soul is an open plain, dry and parched like an empty lakebed;
Howling wind through the barren range, I’ll never let ‘em hear it again.
Come the tears like a flooding rain, find a course down the great escarpment;
From without it would seem so strange, it’s the weather I am keeping within.
Ah ah... yeah... ah ah... yeah...
On my legs there are great long scars; my arms are bruised and battered.
Just a product of where we are, and the trials and troubles we bear.
It’s mirrored inside my heart, but I still cannot help but hide here.
Under guard behind this mask, the illusion unaware.
Now I feel it dripping down my heart again;
All the blood and sweat and the tears of sadness, from the pain living through this madness.
I feel it dripping down my heart again;
Inside there’s an open wound, hidden like the other side of the moon.
Ooo... hey eh yeah yeah...
Broken heart is cracked and torn, wonder how it keeps on beating;
Losing blood like it’s all been gored; it won’t clot to repair.
All my strength shoring up this wall, it’s a dam inside that’s falling;
I’ll struggle on ever more, with a heavy burden to share.
‘Cause I feel it dripping down my heart again;
All the blood and sweat and the tears of sadness, from the pain living through this madness.
I feel it dripping down my heart again;
Inside there’s an open wound, hidden like the other side of the moon...
And the doctor said, all these pores will close in time;
When I find that part of a mutual heart, I have to hold the line.
Know one will know of streams that flow, that I keep out of sight;
Until I feel that healing - I’ll always keep on beating...
Now I feel it ripping out my heart again;
All the blood and sweat and the tears of sadness, from the pain living through this madness.
I feel it dripping down my heart again;
Inside there’s an open wound, hidden like the other side of the moon… (x3)
The Wild Call
Tracking you down into your hideout; I’ve caught your scent, now I’m on the prowl.
Time is almost up, you’d better run now; we’re gonna play a game just like cat and mouse.
I’m on your trail, I’m on your tail now; creeping up to you, not a single sound.
I’m ready to sprint, you better not flinch; got my claws unsheathed now I’m gonna pounce.
Hunger is my power, born free to devour.
The Wild Call, The Wild Call.
I’ll keep you safe, but I’ll keep you wild...
The Wild Call, The Wild Call.
I’ll keep you safe, but I’ll keep you wild...
Wild Call… Wild Call.
Back in my lair, I’m gonna aim down; keeping you safe, gunna hold you strong.
Yeah the wild call, leads you down a track - with your innocence, there’s ain’t no coming back.
Hunger is my power, born free to devour.
The Wild Call, The Wild Call.
I’ll keep you safe, but I’ll keep you wild...
The Wild Call, The Wild Call.
I’ll keep you safe, but I’ll keep you wild...
Through the echoes of your life; the call that leads astray.
It’s a show for you and me; join the hunt and not be prey.
Give your life and I’ll give you more in kind.
Rivers of love ‘cross our land is what we’ll find.
The Wild Call, The Wild Call.
I’ll keep you safe, but I’ll keep you wild...
The Wild Call, The Wild Call.
I’ll keep you safe, but I’ll keep you wild...
Wild Call… (x3)
Screaming Down The Track
There’s never time; time to fight against the changing tide.
When the rip pulls you in, you will sink or swim; a shallow waste is left behind.
Get left in the past, never go too fast, no race against the bottom line;
In the spinning of the world, heat of friction you will find…
Never stop, never slow, try to race from all my fears (never hold back, never pull back);
With the wind in my eyes blowing tears back over my ears (my sight is hazy, we’re going crazy);
Always holding flat and we never look back, as we’re screaming down the track.
As we’re screaming down the track.
In all the world; in this world there is no sense in holding back.
When another takes your place, it’s a slap in the face; what you’ve loved is what they have.
So no getting in my way or you’ll get taken prey; we’ll risk a heart attack.
‘Cause it’s a blood-pumping thrill to reach to your destination fast.
Never stop, never slow, try to race from all my fears (never hold back, never pull back);
With the wind in my eyes blowing tears back over my ears (sight is hazy, going crazy);
Never losing slack, and never looking back, as we’re screaming down the track.
As we’re screaming down the track!
Never can we break down; be the fastest to react now.
Blurred into the background, as we’re screaming down the track.
Seeing all of the world rushing past you right now,
Got to break the bonds that hold you to the ground.
Unshackled you rise and scream it out loud,
You can run with the wind and listen to the sound, come on!
Never stop, never slow, try to race from all my fears (never hold back, never pull back);
With the wind in my eyes blowing tears back over my ears (sight is hazy, going crazy);
Never losing slack, and never looking back, as we’re screaming down the track.
As we’re screaming down the track.
Screaming down the track now!
Screaming down the track (x2)
What Was It All For?
There’s a mark, upon the hill, that I pass by in the sunlight;
Barely see, what was before, life and nature has hidden -
All the pain, now overgrown, no bloodstains maybe bones -
Deep in the ground, forgotten sounds, as the wind blows scattered leaves -
Can you see... has the death built anything?
Wonder here on my knees... just to say never again?
Such an arbitrary line, from this rise to the next;
A bloody mess, with nothing left, barren territory -
There was a town razed to the ground; foreign earth under your toes -
You’ve never felt, never known, so tell me -
What was it all for?... Holding pride high to avenge?
What was it all for?... Leading young hearts to their end?
You want their land to blossom life, but your feet are so small -
To stand there, and everywhere. Does it matter whose seeds grow -
And whose children run and play; ‘cause the sun that makes the day -
Will never grey, so when you fade, can you answer -
What was it all for?...... For your fame and memory?
What was it all for?...... An estate on misery?
There’s a craft so deep in space, looked back and saw a speck -
With all the pain, a world inflamed, not a worth unto the black -
Hold back the hate, and all the names; words are fickle yet they kill -
Life leaves a mark, deep in the stars, so on this rock here -
What was it all for... (there’s nothing gained, just stories to erase)
To write yourself a name… (over the graves, blank pages of pain)
What was it all for?... (please can you hear, the ghosts’ lonely tears)
‘Cause right here marks the place (but not a face, to keep yours in the space)
What was it all for?... (x3)
Unknown Heart
In the tracks and turns that lead you to anonymity…
Hide the woefulness that dwells behind your eyes.
As you see the lives in faces where you may never be;
Are you destined to remain the unknown heart?
When you break the bonds that are holding you in uncertainty;
See the flicker of new light that brings the day.
Then you close upon the candle gloom of serenity;
And your breath blows the frailty away.
But there’s no force can break you,
No evil hasn’t faced you,
You’ve been growing stronger from the start...
It’s a firm resolve that makes you,
‘Til a tender love embraces you, you will be...
Aaah… the unknown heart.
There are chiselled scars from the efforts made on the strongest part;
Like the hardened crust of Earth, your fault line shows.
And the winter’s lag through the rise of spring; it’s warm so far -
Holding deep somewhere inside your clothes - an awe.
Cause there’s no force can break you,
No evil hasn’t faced you,
You’ve been growing stronger from the start...
It’s a firm resolve that makes you,
‘Til a tender love embraces you, you will be...
Aaah… the unknown heart.
A shattered path through broken heart-aches;
Hopeless task, how’s this make you stronger? Are you done for?
Can you last in a huddled shelter?
Now it’s passed the storm blows no longer; now the light calls,
And life calls to the unknown heart.
In a fragile world you somehow learn to be sensitive;
Never build a shell just to let them in.
If you haven’t died, you’ve learned enough to know how to live;
Share your pride, you’ve survived that place you’ve been.
Cause there’s no force can break you,
No evil hasn’t faced you,
You’ve been only growing stronger from the start...
It’s a firm resolve that makes you,
‘Til a tender love embraces you, you will be...
Yeah, you will be, oh, the unknown heart.
The unknown heart, ooh, the unknown heart.
My Only Light
I see you through the night, but I cannot find you.
And when I close my eyes, but I cannot hold you.
A tiny world of fame just being in your attention;
We shared in peace, in joy, in games, and love.
There’s a brilliance to the world that your life gave.
And a depth behind your eyes and in your face.
Whether running through the sunshine, or huddled from the rain,
Giving warmth upon each moment, never the same.
You roused a smile in strangers that you met.
While we drove throughout the land you laid at rest.
Chasing waves down on the beaches or your kin down on the street;
Shared a path in feet and nature, felt so blessed.
My only light has left the day;
Too fast, too soon, your life did fade.
And I stayed with you until your one last breath…
And one last touch – goodbye – as I wept.
And though I brought you home, you’re not there.
Listen to a world of silence, not one step.
So I live my life anew, with just memories instead;
Hold you tight inside my mind, and in my chest.
My only light has left the day;
Too fast, too soon, your life did fade.
And I stayed with you until your one last breath…
And one last touch – goodbye – as I wept.
I see you through the night, but I cannot find you.
And when I close my eyes, but I cannot hold you.
A tiny world of fame just being in your attention;
We shared in peace, in joy, in games, and love.
